Made for Walking, editorial photography for Soho magazine
For the X edition of Soho magazine by Unidad Editorial we addressed the masculine essence and the concept of strength in a sophisticated and elegant way. This is how we portray it in the editorial photography of Made for Walking, a series that includes nine images of sneakers with a minimalist and graphic approach.
In these compositions, the shapes of painted bodies coexist with the different textures of sports designs, generating a contrast between the sheets.
For this shooting we propose diptychs with a dual language; on the one hand, portraits of sneakers appear backlighting with a mysterious and dark aura. On the other hand, graphic compositions inspired by the Bauhaus design show up with a predominance of color masses.
In both statements, the common thread is the strength represented in the male figure, understood in the body movements and its gestures; that sometimes, even seem a bit abstract.
